Marina Guest House Terms and Conditions

Dear guests please take a few minutes to familiarise yourselves with our Guest House terms and conditions and policies. They have been written to provide useful information assisting all our guests to enjoy their stay with us.

Gift vouchers

Vouchers can be purchased online and are subject to availability of dates, some dates are excluded for 1 and 2 night stays although a 3rd  or more can be purchased by the recipient

We cannot guarantee your chosen dates will be available so some flexibility is required. If in doubt contact us for dates.

Smoking

Smoking & or Vaping is not allowed anywhere within the building for the safety & comfort of everyone. There are smoke detectors situated in each bedroom & throughout the building. There is an outside smoking area available at the front of the property.

Vaping may appear safe but fires connected to faulty chargers are very common.

Consideration

Please be considerate of others, don’t shout or play loud music which may cause a nuisance or disturbance, be especially aware of keeping noise to a minimum when returning at night as other guests may be asleep. Thank you for your co- operation.

Coming & Going

Check out: 10.00 am

Please vacate the room on the day of your departure by 10 am in order that cleaning for incoming guests may be undertaken. 

Check in: 2 pm – 9pm, other times by prior arrangement. 

Rooms 6 and 7

These rooms are 2nd floor and have thin walls, Please respect your neighbour by keeping noise to a minimum.

Food in Rooms

Please do not bring hot food takeaways into the bedrooms as spillages can cause cleaning difficulties & lingering odours which other guests will not appreciate.

Parking

Free on-street public parking is possible nearby, unfortunately reservation is not possible.

At busy times of the year parking directly outside the Guest House may not be available, but most guests are easily able find parking within a few minutes walk.

Internet Connection

WIFI is available in all areas and is free of charge under “Marina wifi & TOP FLOOR”.  Password is in your room. We request that you use the internet responsibly, with respect for legal & ethical considerations as described in our Internet Access Policy.

Access to Internet Policy

Marina Guest House does not screen or restrict access to any content placed on or accessible through the Internet. We do not screen or restrict communications between parties via the Internet.

You acknowledge that if you access the Internet you may receive or be exposed to content, goods or services which you consider to be improper, inaccurate, misleading, defamatory, obscene or otherwise offensive.

You agree that Marina Guest House is not liable for any action or inaction with respect to any such content on the Internet accessible through the WIFI System.

Your Responsibilities

You must

1. Provide all equipment (including computer hardware and software, personal digital assistants, wireless network cards, etc.) to connect to the WIFI System. 2. Comply with UK and international laws and regulations, including but not limited to copyright and intellectual property rights laws. 3. You agree to be responsible for and to bear all risk and consequences for (1) the accuracy, completeness, reliability and or usefulness of any content available through the WIFI System and (2) all communications that you send or receive via the WIFI System. 4. Marina does not undertake the security of any data you send through the WIFI System and it is your responsibility to secure such data.

Acceptable Use

All users of the WIFI System must comply with “Acceptable Use Policy, (AUP). AUP is intended to prevent unacceptable uses of the Internet.

We do not actively monitor the use of the WIFI System under normal circumstances.

Similarly we do not exercise editorial control or review the content of any Web site, electronic mail transmission, newsgroup or other material created or accessible over or through the WIFI System.

However, we may remove, block, filter or restrict by any other means any materials that, in our sole discretion, may be illegal, may subject The Marina guest house to liability or may violate this AUP. We will cooperate with legal authorities and/or third parties in the investigation of any suspected or alleged crime or civil wrong.

Booking and Cancellation Policy

Applicable Deposit Policy:
100 percent of the first night may be charged any time after booking.

The full balance for your stay is due on arrival. Payment by Cheque is not accepted.

If your booking is cancelled or modified up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.

If cancelled later, 100 percent of the first night will be charged.
In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

You may carry your deposit forward for a period of 6 months if you cancel and wish to re book.

WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND INSURANCE AGAINST CANCELLATION 

Very young children cannot be accommodated at the Guest House.

Please telephone the Guest House directly on 01262 677791 to discuss room availability for guests with children before booking.

Children’s cots/cribs/high-chairs are not available. There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.

Pets
Sorry we do not accept pets

Parking

Free on-street public parking is possible nearby, unfortunately reservation is not possible.

Antisocial Behaviour

We want all our guests to enjoy their stay with us so please respect other people. Anyone causing distress, offence or nuisance to others will be asked to leave the premises. Any payments made will not be refunded. We reserve the right to charge for any non-accidental damage to fixtures & fittings or excessive staining of bed linen &/or soft furnishings.

Third party and bookings made on Online agents. Booking.con, Expedia, Hotels.com etc.

After your booking is made you are bound by the terms of the booking agent and the terms of The Marina.

Bookings can be cancelled in the event of circumstances beyond our control.

Guests who smoke, Vape or disturb others or cause them to complain to us will lead to your being asked to leave with no refund.
